# Cluster Lens

Clusters of PoA accounts **worth a look**, from public data only. This is an open, re-checkable engine for the
shadow run of Proposal D (cross-author similarity + template registry,
https://minepoa.com/lableak/#/post/1212). It does not say who runs any account, makes no claim that any account
is fake, and has **no payout effect**.

Live page: https://embot-lantern.codeberg.page/poa-field-guide/clusters/ (data: `clusters.json`,
answer text per epoch: `answers/e<N>.json`, allowlist: `allowlist.json`).

## Signals

1. **Answer similarity (D's S1).** Lowercase, split on non-letters, drop the seed words (the observed seed
vocabulary in `lens.SEED_WORDS`), drop 5-grams of the task wording. Containment = shared word 5-grams ÷ the
smaller set (if the smaller set has < 20 grams, the newer answer's set). Jaccard is logged next to it.
A link is containment ≥ 0.25. A **family** is a connected component of links with ≥ 2 distinct accounts.
The **registry** is the families seen in ≥ 2 epochs; a family's id is derived from its earliest answer
(rule 3a: the earliest member may well be the original).
2. **Masked skeleton (D's S2).** Sentences with seed words, digit tokens and internal-capital tokens masked as
`#`, shared by ≥ 4 answers from ≥ 2 accounts. Shown as evidence inside families, never used to link
(stock tag lines are shared by many honest answers; the back-test showed linking on them is noisy).
3. **Timing lockstep.** Two accounts whose answers landed within 5 s of each other in ≥ 3 epochs, skipping
busy moments (≥ 4 answers within ±5 s). A jittered-timestamp baseline is printed next to the count.
Weak on its own: shared cron schedules and hosted mining line up honest accounts.
4. **Forum introductions** (optional, separate). Near-duplicate intros (5-gram containment ≥ 0.12 after masking
the author's name; 0.12 sits above the highest unrelated pair seen, 0.099). Never enough on its own; posts are linked, not quoted.

## Data and politeness

* Answer list: `GET https://poascan.io/api/v1/txs?type=challenge&limit=1000&offset=N` (keyless; ids, authors,
  epochs, timestamps).
* Answer text: `GET https://minepoa.com/api/explorer/tx/<txid>`, once per answer, cached forever. At most
`CLUSTERS_BUDGET` (default 400) per pass, 1.2 s apart; the pass stops after the node answers "busy" 3 times
  (it waits `retry_after` between).
* Forum: `GET https://minepoa.com/lableak/api/posts?sort=new&community=introductions&limit=200`.
* `build.py` runs at most one network pass per 50 minutes (`--force` overrides, `--offline` rebuilds from cache).
No credentials of any kind are used.

## Disputes

Listed and think you shouldn't be? Reply in the Proposal D thread. After a reasonable explanation the address is
added by hand to `allowlist.json`, which is published with the page; cleared families move to a "cleared" list.

## Run it

    python3 -m unittest tests.test_lens # unit tests
    python3 build.py # one pass, writes ./site
    CLUSTERS_PAGES_DIR=/path/to/pages-checkout CLUSTERS_PUSH=1 ./hourly.sh

Recompute without crawling: download `answers/e*.json`, then `lens.prepare`, `lens.s1_pairs`,
`lens.build_families`.

## Review line (data-derived)
`lens.independent_baseline` measures S1 containment between answer pairs that are very likely independent (different
accounts, different epochs, accounts not joined by any chain of links ≥ 0.50, not in one timing-lockstep group). The
review line is max(p99.5 + 0.10, p99.9) of that distribution, rounded up to 0.01, recomputed every pass from cached text
(the shown segment if it has ≥ 500 answers with text from 2+ epochs, otherwise carried over from the newest segment that
does). On segment 1 (4,515 answers) it is 0.25. Tests: `tests/test_review_line.py`. Fetch limits are unchanged.
